AI — helping us And giving us reasons to be concerned
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI is helping us doing a lot of good.
In medical field.
With climate change.
Helping us with wild life conservation.
And more.
But everything has a price.
And AI is no different.
The price is high.
How high?
None of us know.
Not even the AI researchers.
Yes, you’ve read that right.
Not even the AI researchers know.
Some talk about their concerns re large language models.
(Like the GPT family from Open AI; and others).
Autonomous AI can work on tasks collaboratively.
Or adversarially.
AI is a tool without morals — good or bad.
It’s a tool that can and will be used by power-seeking players.
AI itself — researchers say — can/will be power-seeking.
AI is advancing rapidly.
Are we responsible with its capabilities?
