Great job, Genius! Now what?!

Talk to yourself in a good, positive way.
Using uplifting, inspiring words.
At least that’s what self-improvement literature wants us to do.

What about the times when your performance is less than stellar?
What then?

In my work, I come across people from many industries.
Construction, retail, advertising and others. And that makes my job interesting and fun.
As you all know, life is much more enjoyable when working with nice, easygoing people.
But what about the times when you come across the “other” kind of people?

What do you do then?
The solution, for me, is quick. And painless.
I simply raise the prices. It works every time.

Well, almost.
Like with everything else, there are always exceptions.
That’s when I say to myself:
“Great job, Genius! Now what?!”

(You might say that’s a good problem to have.
It’s not. But I’m not going to debate you on that.)

Instead, let’s talk about when our less-than-stellar performance has much more important consequences.
Let’s talk about when we make mistakes because we are less informed than we should be.
Take a look around.
REALLY look.

Children: spending endless hours with their eyes glued to screens — playing electronic games.
Pets: shelters brimming with unwanted pets; yet, all too often, we buy instead of adopting/rescuing.
Environment: poisoning our oceans with plastics and pesticides. Not to mention warfare tests.
The list goes on.

Humankind, time to say to thyself:
“Great job, Genius! Now what?!”

The world is full of smart, caring people.
We can find solutions to our problems.
IF we work TOGETHER.
