Looking toward the future
“… a border economy that defies stereotypes and a world-class scientific community,
a city famous for its surf is riding a different kind of wave.”
“San Diego is one of the most business-friendly, economically advanced cities in the country.”
Two excerpts from Benjamin Reeves’ article about San Diego.
Reeves goes on to write about the thriving economy of the two border cities.
San Diego and Tijuana (its Mexican counterpart) play a key role in the bi-lateral trade between U.S and Mexico
(estimated at over $530 billion annually).
Reeves makes few other important points:
- $120 million investments to build CBX (Cross Border Xpress), a land bridge to connect San Diego with Tijuana.
- $1.3 billion will be invested in border infrastructure.
San Diego and Tijuana: two cities with a booming economy.
And, in a show of solidarity, together they submitted a bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics
Two cities building bridges and looking toward the future.
