Welcome to OBI Blog
Hi! I’m Mariana Fieraru.
I started OBI in 2006. And now I’ve decided it’s time to have a website and a blog.
Time to join the web community.
So what am I going to blog about? To start with, I’ll blog about things I know.
There is a lot of discussion today about global work teams and a multicultural work force. Being a first-generation American, I am fortunate to have a “front seat” and have seen great examples on both sides of the Atlantic when teams with diverse backgrounds produced outstanding results. I’ve also seeing the opposite, when in spite of good people on the team, results were abysmal.
There is also much discussion about challenges and opportunities presented by our multi-generational workforce. When it works, it’s like a good well – oiled machine. When it doesn’t, it becomes a “hot potato” situation and leadership needs to find solutions (often using diplomacy and negotiation, especially in family-run enterprises).
I will write about things that catch my attention. And hope you find them interesting as well.
These and other topics will be the subject of my regular (and not so regular) blog postings.

Sunny and Flipper
My feathered kids
And this blog would not be complete without mentioning Flipper and Sunny, my beautiful feathered kids. That means occasionally you may read about what they’ve had for breakfast and how many times they’ve interrupted my work. The two of them can make even the cloudiest of days seem sunny and cheerful.
Come back and visit with us as often as you can. Thank you!
Of course I loved this blog, because it featured my feathered children! Thank you for taking the time to include us in your story! You are a great leader yourself, you know!
