Daisy with her toy

Sunday I received this photo; and a note that read:

Dear aunt Mariana,
I thought you would like a photo of me.
I love the balls you give me!
Even more, I enjoy you playing and walking with me.
Love,
Daisy

The photo and the note came from my friend Donna (aka Daisy’s “mom”).
Donna and her family are my friends for many reasons. Among them is how well they treat their pets, Daisy and Scamper.

(Scamper is their beautiful cat).

I like visiting with them. We laugh and enjoy watching Scamper and Daisy playing with each other. Scamper has the upper hand most of the time.  He is smaller and can climb in higher places.

By the time they are done playing, the popcorn is ready as well. Then we all settle down and watch some TV show or musical. Daisy’s favorite then is Noel (Donna’s husband). She sits right by his chair (if you haven’t guessed why: he is generous and sharing with his popcorn : )  Of course, that gets messy, as she is choosy and only eats the buttered kernels!

It’s wonderful when I see pets and people like this.
That’s when I think how lucky they are:

  • Daisy is lucky to have this loving family to care and love her. Plus, she has Scamper, a great playmate.
  • My friends are lucky to get all this love in return (not to mention the entertainment : )

Yes, pets do require care but when we think of ROI (return on investment) we get so much more than we put in.

Don’t you agree?

Be well. Come back and visit often. And do tell a friend.
