Wake up call. Time to get real. Both?

Over the last several weeks I’ve been talking with friends and family

About what’s going on around us

With family scattered all over Europe it was easy to get into disagreements

With the one in London I started a heated discussion:

(UK vs US – who can empty the shelves of toilet paper faster?)

Still not sure.

It was a tight race.

Before

Long time ago (circa 2019) we were all going around, doing our ‘normal’ thing.

Whatever that was.

The average Jill and Jack were busy with work. And raising their kids.

And trusting the system to work.

Government, schools, health-care – all part of a system we expect to work.

Why?

Because we have checks and balances built into the system .

To make it safe.

Or so we thought.

After

Then the pandemic came.

In a span of a few months the world changed.

More like it turned upside down.

Reports that we’ve read, and promptly forgot about, started to resurface:

We hear/read about classified documents.

Documents containing biosecurity, biosafety, and other bio-words.

Wake up call. Time to get real. Both?

Maybe this a wake-up call.

Maybe it’s time to get real.

Take a look at man-made systems.

Worldwide.

Are they still working for us?

Or are they obsolete?

Time to take a long, hard look at our world.

Look at its inhabitants.

And look at the facts.

What happens thousands of miles away impacts all of us.

Sooner or later.

This virus doesn’t care what side of the border you are on.

This virus doesn’t care about your religion, or lack thereof.

This virus doesn’t care about your political ideologies and beliefs.

It’s time to get real.

Be a responsible, informed, and decent human.

What you say and do MATTERS

Start doing your part.

Start doing the right things.
