And why do these “content farms” do it!?
Why would they generate so much garbage content?

Money, of course!

Big brands are paying big money for ad placements on these sites.
Even though they’ve never heard of these websites before.
What!?

Yes, it’s a practice called “programmatic advertising.”
Interesting, isn’t it?

What’s even more interesting is that these sites are served by — you guessed it — good ol’ Google 😁

The search giant’s policy specifically prohibits websites from placing Google-served ads on “…spammy websites filled with AI-generated text.”

Isn’t the AI age fun?!

On a more serious note:
I’m sure Google and others are working hard on this.
And they will soon find the “antidote” for these type of situations
